Every Association, Society, Club or Organisation has its founding fathers. We thank all those who thought it fit to form AOBA UK in the early 80s. Yes, it may have mushroomed out of one person’s idea, but the early supporters of this idea must be recognised.

We must record our appreciation for the sterling work done for AOBA UK over the years, particularly during her formative years, by the following:

  • Who has now departed and of blessed memory: J. Drury – Headmaster 1959 – 1963; Samuel Tsatsu Acolatse; Benjamin Kofi Akumanyi; Gabby Arihi; James Kweku Erskine; George Nipah; Emmanuel Kwaku Oppon.
  • Settled in Ghana: A.O. Dickson; Alhaji Habu Haruna; Andy K. Sam.
  • In UK: Kwame Adu; Dr. Herbert Bakari; James F. Mercer; Kofi Nti; Joe Wryter; Kweku deGraft-Johnson…

In the early days, the work of these Santaclausians for AOBA UK was urged on by and received enormous assistance from both Santaclausians and non-Santaclausians.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide financial, material, and Moral support to establish Adisadel College, as a well-grounded and thorough educational institution fit and proper for the exigencies of future centuries.

Our mission enshrined in both our School Ode is to support Adisadel College to be the absolute best there is in the Education of boys. We aim to “do exploits to make Adisadel College, either the first or with the first “in the holistic training and education offered to young boys across Ghana and in the world.

We intend to apply our professional knowledge, skills and expertise in ways that support, project and sustain Adisadel College as an organisation and an institution whilst adding value for Students, Parents, and the wider community.

Our Vision

We see Adisadel College as an Educational Institution endowed with great ability to meet the holistic needs of students and enthusing all and sundry in the provision of first-class training and education to boys passing through the Institution.

We wish to see Adisadel College maintain a decent and effective working relationship with parents, students, and other third-party institutions.

We see Adisadel College as a first-class educational institution providing and communicating clear direction in attaining strategic and educational objectives, like the STEM PROJECT initiated by the 1995-year group.

Our Funding

Our Association is funded by membership dues of £60.00 per annum or £5 a month, voluntary contributions, and individual assistance. We have also resorted to fundraising events like Discos, Dinner Dances, other social events, and recently the sale of mementos to raise funds so AOBA UK could offer the much-needed support that Adisadel College needs.

We would welcome bequests and gifts that could be applied to support our work and mission. We therefore entreat all our well-wishers, benefactors, other charitable organisations and partners to consider us appropriately.
